Loneliness is the flipside of connecting through social media

New survey from Rambøll/Analyse Danmark shows that 40% of Danes in the age 18-25 had felt lonely in the preceding week. Experts says this a problem that is getting worse and attributes this partly to the increasing use of social media, where your social status is rather visible. The use of social media are also having an element of “collecting friends” you can use for something or show off, instead of (or in addition) to nurturing real friendships.
