Loneliness is the flipside of connecting through social media

New survey from Rambøll/Analyse Danmark shows that 40% of Danes in the age 18-25 had felt lonely in the preceding week. Experts says this a problem that is getting worse and attributes this partly to the increasing use of social media, where your social status is rather visible. The use of social media are also having an element of “collecting friends” you can use for something or show off, instead of (or in addition) to nurturing real friendships.

The end of collective agreements

Employees must more than ever work in conditions which are neither regulated by agreements or collective bargaining.

The carpenter at the construction site, the dishwasher at the restaurant or the gardener in the greenhouse must put up with doing work under less regulated conditions in the future.

This is what four out of ten Danes expect, according to a new survey by Analyse Danmark for Ugebrevet A4.
